Die LGA veranstaltete im Rahmen des 10.LGA-Preminumcups auch ein hochkarätig besetztes Blitzturnier. 66 Spieler, darunter etliche Titelträger (2 GM, 3 IM, 1 WIM, 8 FM, 1 CM) stritten in 7 Doppelrunden um einen Preisfond von 900€. Auch 6 Vereinsmitglieder (Dyroff, Konsek,Redzepovic, Reis, Stiller, Thürauf) waren in dem von Schiedsrichter Robert Ackermann souverän geleitetem Turnier am Start.
Gerhard Reis konnte als 2. (hauchdünn um einen halben Wertungspunkt am 1. Platz vorbei geschrammt) der DWZ-Gruppe 2000-2200 einen Geldpreis gewinnen, auch Roland Dyroff hat nach eigener Aussage das erste Mal in seinem Leben einen Geldpreis gewonnen und wurde ebenfalls 2. seiner DWZ-Gruppe 0-1800!
